I generally stay away from books with post-apocalyptic themes. I’ve read The Road but didn’t really like it much but after reading The Forest of Hands & Teeth (must read!) earlier this month, it suddenly created an interest to read other books with the same theme. I think I will check out Ariel. I see a lot about this book and the genre interests me. Thanks.
Friday Find: Silence Not, a love story by Cynthia L. Cooper
I hope you'll enjoy it as much as The Forest of Hands & Teeth!
sounds very interesting!
I'll have to check out The Forest of Hands and Teeth sometime. Thanks for the recommendation!
Terima kasih for the links :)
Hope you get a chance to give Ariel a read! It's not as good as TFoHT, but it's solid. If you want any other post-apocalyptic suggestions, I've got TONS. It's one of my favorite genres of fiction :)
Hi Thea! You shocked me at Terima Kasih! For a second there I thought you were Malaysian! LOL ... You have a GREAT BLOG, absolutely love the design and the list of books that you read! :)
Aw, thank you! I'm glad you like our blog :) And likewise! I've just discovered this site, and am loving it.
I grew up in Jakarta, dude! My bahasa isn't so great anymore, but it's still up in my head somewhere. Hehe.
I also LoVeD The Forest of Hands and Teeth! Post apocalyptic fiction is one of my favorite genres though :-)
Thanks for visiting and commenting at Holley's House! I am the Messenger isn't quite as literary as The Book Thief, but I did like it as much!
